APP-Y FRIDAY : BACKIN' IT UP

Last Friday I kicked off a HUGE series called APP-Y Friday and
I shared with you guys my favorite apps that are used to add a little "bling" to your photos.
This week I thought that I would change things up a bit and share with you all what apps I am currently using to back it all up!

I have a FULL FLEDGED obsession when it comes to apps, that you and I may think that I will need a recovery group once we are through with this series!
When I counted them this morning I have a total of 222  225 (yes I added 3 since last week!) of them things on my phone!
As promised I have them ALL categorized for your convince sanity!
But DON'T be surprised if you find one listed in more than one category along the way
So without further ado...
HERE WE GO!
(apps are in no particular order)

VERIZON CLOUD

Available On:
Google Play and The App Store
Cost:
Notta!
App Includes:
• SECURELY BACK UP your phone's content (contacts, photos, videos, and more) to your own cloud account
• EASILY TRANSFER content stored on your previous phone to a new one, whether you are a new or existing customer
• SHARE select media content using your favorite native apps
• SYNC the last 90 days of text and media messages on the first sync, and all new messages thereafter
• ACCESS ACROSS DEVICES – Back up content from your PC or Mac's hard drive and/or tablet to your Verizon Cloud account using the downloadable Desktop client and/or Tablet app. You can then access that content on all of your Verizon Cloud-capable devices.

What I LOVE:
I love the fact that I can schedule my back up times. I currently have mine set to automatically back up EVERY NIGHT! I have been there where I have lost SOOO many pictures! NEVER AGAIN!

What I DON'T Love:
I am not thrilled that the verizon phones don't already have this set up automatically when you get a new device. If you are unaware of the fact that you have to set up this service you WILL LOOSE everything... BEEN THERE DONE THAT!

Copy

Nothing!
App Includes:
• Chromecast support! You can now stream any audio, video, or photos stored in your Copy account to a Chromecast-connected television.

• Download past versions of any file

What I LOVE:
Copy automatically uploads my images to my "cloud" as soon as they are taken, edited, etc.
I never have to worry about loosing one! I also love that it is compatible with all my electronic devices!

  What DON'T I love:
I am still fairly new to using this particular one but so far I have no complaints!

Google Drive

  What DON'T I love:
I really have no complaints on this as of yet

ONE DRIVE

Which is your GO TO BACK UPPER?

Tatted Thursday: Featuring Ant: Part One (Before Me)

I am sure EVERYONE has been wondering where in the HELL is the posts about ink?!
How can a blog be called Inked & Sassy and there has NOT been ONE SINGLE posts about Tattoos! Jeesh! ;)
Well here you GO!
I was wanting to feature my personal ink first BUT since I have not had the chance to get them all photographed it was easier to sucker get my hubby to share his first.
I will go ahead and warn you though his will be continued through out my blogging career as will mine since we are both HUGE ink lovers AND we both have an "Ink Wish List" so to speak.

Ant's tats are in NO kind of order and I ask that you  bare with me. He has been working on his tat collection for almost 18 years and some of the older ink's information is a little fuzzy for us old folks...
They will seem pretty random chaotic ...
SO...
I will categorize them as best as I can...
Before Me (Part One) and After Me (Part Two) ;)
Without further ado...

Part One:

Before Me:

8 Point Star

1st Tat

Shop Name/Location: In his home
Artist Name:  Couldn't recall
Placement: Left Shoulder
Pain Scale:  2 *
Price:$ $30 **
Age: 13-14
Meaning/Story: Since this was his first tat there was no story behind it.
Though the tattoo was done by a professional artist I HIGHLY recommend that tattoos are done in sanitized locations with health department inspections and pass within their guidelines.

Egyptian Cross

Shop Name/Location:  Screamer's Tattoo; Dothan, Alabama
(The Dothan location is no longer open BUT he does have a few shops in the local area)
Artist Name: Dragon Dave
Placement: Right Bicep
Pain Scale: 3*
Price: $85**
Age: 16-17 yrs old
Meaning/Story: He liked the uniqueness of the cross and in the area where he grew up it was a one of a kind tat. Not many folks there would have chosen the same.

Superman Symbol

Shop Name/Location: Forbidden Images; Dothan Alabama
Artist Name: Jeff
Placement: Right Shoulder
Pain Scale: 1*
Price: $60**
Age: 18ish
Meaning/Story: Superman has always been Ant's favorite super hero and now he wears him on his arm with pride.

Blue Tribal

Shop Name/Location: Screamer's Tattoo; Dothan, Alabama
Artist Name: "Frog"
Placement: Between shoulder blades on back
Pain Scale:  6*
Price: $90**
Age: 18ish
Meaning/Story: The tribal here was to be the beginning of a back piece, but years later the plans had changed and it just stands alone.... for now...

"X.S.J"

"Vampire Script"

Shop Name/Location: Screamer's Tattoo; Ozark Alabama
Artist Name: Dragon Dave
Placement: Stomach
Pain Scale: 10*
Price: $100**
Age: 19
Meaning/Story:  The initials X.S.J. represent my hubby's first born biological child, his son, who lives with his ex out of state.

Only God Can

Shop Name/Location: B&E Tattoo; Dothan, Alabama
Artist Name: "Whitefoot"
Placement: Left Forearm
Pain Scale: 3*
Price: $80**
Age: 20
Meaning/Story: He chose this cross and saying to remind him and others that there is only one who can judge him or us and that is God. Only God Can Judge Me  is a daily reminder to let things go, and not to wrap your mind around what others or yourself may think of you.

Crown of Thorns Cross

Shop Name/Location: Screamer's Tattoo; Dothan, Alabama
Artist Name: Dragon Dave
Placement: Right side of Chest
Pain Scale: 4*
Price: $100**
Age: 18-20ish
Meaning/Story: He went through a phase where he was tattooing crosses left and right, this was a design that he personally like but had the middle letters changed to A.M.J which are his own initials.

RIP

Shop Name/Location: Screamer's Tattoo; Dothan, Alabama
Artist Name: Dragon Dave
Placement: Left Bicep
Pain Scale:  1*
Price: No Charge**
Age: 17-18 yrs old
Meaning/Story: Anthony's grandfather dies when he was a kid and when he got older he wanted to keep the memory of his grandfather alive and with him with a tribute tattoo, when he got the tattoo he decided to go ahead and add his grandmother's initials at the same time thought she has only been gone from us for a few years. When I asked him why he decided to do that he simply stated that those two were never supposed to be separated from each other...

CROSS & SUN ACCENT

CROSS:
Shop Name/Location: Forbidden Images; Dothan, Alabama
Artist Name: Jeff
Placement: Right Forearm
Pain Scale: 3*
Price: $60**
Age: 20ish
Meaning/Story: Again this was during the cross phase in his tattoo theme (before me), he liked the cross and for many years the cross stood on it's own until he added the sun accent (after me)

SUN:
Shop Name/Location: Forbidden Images; Dothan, Alabama
Artist Name: Jeff
Placement: Accent around cross located on Right Forearm
Pain Scale: 4*
Price: $50**
Age: 24-25ish
Meaning/Story: He felt that after some time the cross needed something more to it, so he decided he would add some flair to the boring plain cross and accent it with a sunburst.

Check back next week where I will feature Ant's Ink Part Two (After Me)

Do you want to have your ink featured?

*DISCLAIMER Pain scales depend on the individual getting the tattoo. These are not in anyway a guarantee  on how much a tattoo in a particular area will or will not hurt YOU.
The pain scale is based on a 1-10 scale (10 being the worst) and is just used to give you the reader an EXAMPLE. The pain scale is that of the featured person and their personal opinion on how much it hurt THEM.

** DISCLAIMER  tattoo pricing usually is charged by the hour. Depending on the location, size, detail, colors etc. will depend on the price of your tattoo. These prices listed are just to give you an idea of what some ink work could cost you. We are also DEDICATED tattoo enthusiast and are VERY LOYAL to our artist. SOME artists will show appreciation for your dedication and charge their repeat clients  with a discounted rate... This may or may not be typical in your area. Also me and my hubby always TIP our artist some pricing may or may not include the tip that we gave them... we can't remember :(

Dreaming of...(Subscription) Boxes : Home Edition

Last Thursday I shared with you guys my new could be obsession  with Subscription Boxes.
If you missed it check out Our Beauty Edition
Since these last couple of weeks I have been working my ass off trying to get my home in order I thought it would only be natural that this week I share with you my Home Edition!

Right now there are 56 home themed subscription boxes and with the costs ranging from 240 a yr to fit into your budget, I have narrowed it down to my top 3  "wish list" so check them out...

 $29.95 per month
Choose a medium or large candle to be delivered to your door every month! Fill out a scent profile so we can handpick your candle based on the scents you love. Our brand partners focus on quality like lead-free wicks, superior wax, & beautiful containers.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE candles! These things would be an easy budget breaker for me and I think that out of all the ones that they offer this sounds like to me one that I would enjoy the most.

$34.96 per month

In every Flower of the Month subscription receive a professionally designed seasonal bouquet cut just days before you receive it. Also their monthly newsletter where you’ll learn about each featured flower's history, where it originated and how it was grown.

I love fresh flowers, but I will be honest they are not in my everyday decor, flowers get expensive FAST and since I do not have a green thumb, nor the knowledge to keep a plant alive this would be my best bet. I am telling you I am NOT graced with being able to take care of plants... AT ALL... I mean I am the one who killed a Venus fly trap! Who knew...

$49.00 per month

A subscription box for your home! Each box will surprise you with pretty pieces for your desk, coffee table, kitchen, bar, dining room, bedroom and more! Jennifer personally styles each box's items and includes a gorgeous photo depicting how she styled as well as styling tips so you can easily re-create the look in your home.

I LOVE  styling tips and items that say here ya go stupid! Needless to say I have always had my own sense of style and decor and up until recently I have never really cared. I guess you get to a point in your life when you say maybe it is time to let your style grow up some... After all I was the teenage with my favorite things stapled to my bedroom walls... So yeah...

These were so hard to narrow down since there are so many that are similar but these would be the ones that I would say are a MUST have in my book for our home.

The list of subscriptions were thanks to Hello Subscription

Tasty Tuesday: Rice & Sausage

With our fall weather in full swing it's time to heat up the kitchen with some hot meals!
God knows I am not a HUGE fan of standing in front of a gas stove in the dead heat of the summer BUT during the winter I am game!
Last night I made another family favorite of Red Beans & Rice with sausage and Yellow rice with sausage.
NO this is NOT a made from scratch recipe but I'll be honest I am too in LOVE with this I wouldn't dare trying to screw it up!
I personally use Zatarain's Red Beans and Rice boxes and Mahatma Yellow Rice Pouches.
Here in Arkansas and in Alabama they both can be found at any grocery store.
NOW as for the sausage... I ONLY use Conecuh brand... and the spicier of the two flavors. Downfall here in Arkansas I can only find it at Kroger's verses when we were in Alabama it was also very easy to find.

To get started I follow the back of the rice packages and measure out my water. I personally use about 1/4 to 1/2 cup less water than the Zaterain's calls for inorder to make it thicker.

I then cut the sausage into bite sized pieces.
I typically use one package of sausage when I make it for our family but I use 2 of each of my rice choices. You can add as little or as much sausage as you would like.

The rest is as easy as pie as you just follow the directions on the back. I usually have this meal thrown together in less than a half hour and it's always a huge hit.

I also usually serve a roll of some sort or cornbread with it.
My personal favorite are the Hawaiian sweet rolls.

Though I am not HUGE on " SOUTHERN " foods I will have to say this is by far my favorite.
Have you tried this Southern classic?

While We Were Away: A Weekend Recap

This weekend was a wet and rainy one for us, the weather was SCREAMING fall which meant for us a laid back, indoors kind of weekend...

We were looking forward to our cities annual Spook City, but thanks to the rain it was delayed until tonight. Unfortunately, the weather is not looking like it will play in our favor again to continue the tradition and I will have to say I will be so very disappointed along with the kids if mother nature doesn't play nice this year.
We have gone to Spook City every year since we have moved here and we all always look forward to it.

Since we were stuck indoors most of the weekend the hubby and I found it to be a great opportunity to finish cleaning out the house.
I have been working my ass off going through every room cleaning it out, going through things and reorganizing from top to bottom.
The rainy wet weather gave us the chance to tie up the loose ends and call it a wrap! Now to have my yard sale SOON!

Since the weather rained us out on Saturday night's plans of Spook City we decided we would make it a fun night for the girls and do a Halloween themed movie night with Hocus Pocus (which they had never seen before) and Addams Family Values with junk food and candy!
Over the weekend though we did also throw in Captain America: The Winter Solider, Jurassic World, a few Transformer movies and Gremlins.
After trying to do a weekend of JUST Halloween based movies I have come to find out that our selection for the holiday is sad... which is REALLY sad seeing that we own close to 1000 movies... UGH!

This week we are celebrating Red Ribbon Week at school and all of the girls have a list of ways to dress up to be involved with the Awareness week.
Dakota (Junior High) and Aaliyah (elementary school) have their list at home and have prepped all weekend for the BIG week. Alora (the Middle School) announce it daily so thier is no list.. bummer...
Here is what we have to look forward too...

Elementary

Junior High

I will be sharing how it all went and what they came up with next week so stay tuned!

Also over the weekend through our social media I asked you our readers for help...
Check it out :

I hope you all have an amazing Monday!

APP-Y FRIDAY: PHOTO BLING

I hinted around a week or so ago on my social media pages that I was working on a HUGE PROJECT for Inked & Sassy!
I knew it would have to become a series for sure but I was not EXACTLY sure how I would plug it in...
While lying in bed last night it dawned on me!
So...
Welcome to
Yesterday I shared with you all a wish list from my "could be" obsession Subscription Boxes so today it is only fair to share with you all my FULL FLEDGED obsession and that is APPS!
When I counted them this morning I have a total of 222 of them things on my phone!
I promise I have them categorized for your convince sanity!
So without further ado...
HERE WE GO!

I wanted my first one to be something that I used ALL the time besides email (boring..but will be covered later)
So why not adding some bling, personality, effects what not to your photos!
(apps are in alphabetical order, not by preference)

Example of me using A Beautiful Mess

What I DON'T love:

They have not offered any new designs or new in app purchase add ons in FOREVER...

Though I do LOVE this app I have to say that it is no longer my go to app for adding flair, they have not offered anything new in a VERY long time so I only use it if i know there is a font, doodle, or something to that nature I don't have on one of my other apps.

BeFunky

EVERYTHING! As a photographer this is the closest I have cam eot finding something I can edit my images on like I am used to doing. If you start with the basic version I HIGHLY suggest that if you are going to purchase something just go ahead and download the pro and save yourself some money!

Example of me using BeFunky Pro

What I DON'T love:

There are not a whole lot of my style stickers etc.
Other then that I am set!

Instagram

I hear what you are saying...
Instagram is not a "bling" app
SURE it IS! If I could have the filters instagram offers in one of my other apps I would be ECSTATIC!

Available on:
Google Play   AND   the App Store

Notta

What I LOVE:
I have to say that I really do love the fonts, stickers etc.
I honestly combine the use of BeFunky and Rhonna together A LOT...
Example of me using Rhonna Designs

 What I DON'T love:
The price! UGH! I am all about FREE as a mom of three. You could quickly spend a small fortune between the app and all your MUST have additions.

What I LOVE:
It is TOTALLY FREE!
No matter if they stick you with a million new additions a day they are ALWAYS FREE
and not to  mention some of these are AMAZING...
Example of me using Studio

What I DON'T:
I was a HUGE studio user for a LONG time but I don't know if it is because my phone is ancient  older version, or if it is the platform but recently I can't get it to work at all...MAJOR BUMMER

Are you familiar with any of these personally? If not which one will you try?
If you have one that YOU love I would LOVE to hear about it :)

Hope everyone has an APP-Y Friday!

**DISCLAIMER** This is NOT a sponsored post, I was not asked to plug in any of the apps, all opinions are based on my experience and all options are that of my own.
